I had a good visit with Dr Hollis for feedback after back and pelvis x rays kindly requested by Dr Panhwer previously. The results were more or less as expected. ….. wear and tear! After a general check up we discussed and tweaked my medication and I was advised to book a blood test in two weeks with the lovely Sam. Going to reception I find four people in front of me, oh dear, will I be able to stand that long. The receptionist was dealing with the first patient and disappeared into the inner sanctum and was gone for 15 -20 mins. Surely he will ask a colleague to cover for him. There is no way to get any help should it be needed. Perhaps a bell? There are seven waiting now ah! relief a new face, things are on the move. I finally book my blood test and ask for a pee pot and get given one with a spoon!!! I’ll pop in another day and get the right thing for a sample to be sent to the lab. before I see Sam. Thanks for all your patience with all your patients from one of your patient patients.

Change the awful twangy music on the phone queue. When you are position 9 in the queue and listen to the horrible, horrible,noise on loudspeak (so you can get on with things,) it distorts. I mentioned it once to reception staff but the same music/ noise is on there, but at least there is a call back service available now so waiting is better....unless you miss the call. It really aggrevates and puts blood pressure up. I don't think I am given clear enough information following tests. I get a letter or email but isn't always user friendly to a layperson. No suggestions. Do I need to discuss things further? No idea! Am I walking around with a condition starting no idea! More explanation please. Luckily I haven't used the practice much. My husband uses it more. He has had a worrying experience following tests with a Receptionist jumping the gun about what's wrong/ not wrong. Good job we are persistent.

The staff and doctors are extremely pleasant and make you feel calm and discuss your health with compassion and care. Just wish there were more appointments available, however the care you get when you are seen is great
